I did venture to make a comment, earlier, on this topic but it seems it was not acceptable. Perhaps I’d better re-phrase what i meant to say:

In today’s world of religious plurality (we are no longer in the Middle Ages), state schools and offices should take great care not to even appear discriminatory in the decor of their premises – in any way that could be offensive to a minority religious faction. This seems to be quite fair.
