I think we would sort of the WB/TEA/SEO/ProvinceIII issues much more easily if we first went back to first principles and reinstated a clear basis for Anglican Christianity. Jettisoning the 39 Articles, Prayer Book and other historical formularies has had obvious and inevitable consequences. There are too many people in the CofE who would, on any reasonable measure, hardly qualify as christian, never mind anglican, and they are wanting the church to go the same way – to the exclusion of a significant number of anglican Christians! I am appalled at the news that Kathy Jefferts Schori and 2 or 3 others, have muscled-in, on our General Synod– and as for the paper Gene Robinson has been circulating…………….
We should be free to decide our own affairs in our own time and way.

Today FE colleges can be even more value-free because chaplains are gagged from saying anything exclusive or distinctive – and parishes are saddled with the financial burden of those ministries that are at best detached from them and may even be at odds with them. Yes , let’s double the number…. 😉
The Anglican Communion has already now achieved fracture from one issue. To avoid it again over the episcopate, it would be much more sensible if they finished this 1992 botched experiment once and for all.
