In the midst of the Mechanics of Maintenance discussion at this Synod, it was an inspiration to listen to the Presiding Bishop of TEC in her address to the members. After outlining the equivalences of both Scottish and U.S. Provinces – in inheriting both Celtic and Pictic ancestry – Bishop Katharine pointed out their shared provenance of relationship to the See of Canterbury, as independent Churches, but with a common heritage of both catholic and evangelistic missionary tradition.
