” The Church in the Province of the West Indies adopts the Anglican Communion Covenant.” What a surprise! The largest area included in this province, Jamaica, has the well earned distinction of being the most dangerous place for LGBTI persons to live in the western hemisphere. Burning down houses while gay people are meeting within, including for Bible study, is a common occurence in Jamaica. Locking the doors of a church and setting it on fire, when a funeral for a known gay person is being held within, is not extraordinary there.
