Easter Sermons and Messages

The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Easter Sermon is available here: Archbishop’s Easter Sermon 2012 – God raised Jesus to life.

The Archbishop of York has three video messages. See Archbishop’s Easter Video Messages. And he wrote this column for the Sun: Archbishop’s Easter Joy.

The Anglican Communion News Service has published a roundup of several other Easter messages, including one from the Archbishop of Uganda.

We will add more when we find them.

How come that, to date, the item on “Dr. Glynn Harrison’s views on homosexuality” has attracted no fewer than 46 comments and the two Archbishops’ mighty words proclaiming the joy of the Risen Lord and Easter have only managed to attract a mere 2 comments?
Surely, “A Doctor writes” isn’t more interesting to Christians than proclaiming the Good News of the Resurrection Gospel?

Yes indeed, as ever, a good prophetic word from the pulpit of Glasgow cathedral – although the Provost must come to realise that the Lord is just as much risen in Morningside as He is in Scotland’s second city.

People expect sermons on the resurrection. They do not expect credibility given to views the like of Dr Glynn’s. Dog bites man rarely attracts comment either.
