The website of the Diocese of Lake Malawi has not been updated since last July. But today the following appeared on the blog of the American Anglican Council:
Pastoral Letter from the Bishops of the Province to the Diocese of Lake Malawi.
The letter is dated 15 February.
How many of the countries represented in the Province have had similar notices issued by the local military forces explaining why it has been necessary to remove an elected leader and impose rule by decree until calm has been restored and elections are again possible? How many of these bishops have accused the West of being excessively influenced by its local political culture? How many pots does it take to call a kettle black?
That this first appeared courtesy of the American Anglican Council only increases the sense that an externally driven coup is under way.
“How many of the countries…? How many of these bishops…? How many pots does it take to call a kettle black?”
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind. The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
