How simply and strongly Primus Jones speaks up for big tent global Anglicanism. SO what makes it so hard for Rowan Williams to speak up for the big tent? A Scottish breakthrough coming to a neighborhood near you? Interfaith exploration, bridges and activities? Watch this space? New ways of doing ministry will surprise us all, maybe. Scottish alarms? Huge gaps, believers in a sealed off bubble? People in general haven’t found the churches as all that spirituality or seeker friendly? Bishop David Chillingworth (St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane) was elected Primus of the SEC this morning by his fellow bishops.

+David succeeds Bishop Idris Jones, who retires at the end of July.
