Emine Saner interviews Robert Winston and Sam Harris in The Guardian: Is there any place for religious faith in science?
I really don’t get this science vs religion debate. The interview was so 1st grade debating society that it’s almost embarrassing to think that this is how people imagine believers to think. Can they not get an intelligent theologian to talk to scientists about faith?
I think that Robert Winston holds his own very comfortably with Sam Harris. His scientific input into television programmes about human beings and their biological peculiarities are well-known around the world, and I think many Christians would be comfortable with his performance in this particular TV forum.
The other term I’ve heard bandied about by conservatives as an alternative to ‘sodomites’is “fornicators.”
