i agree with what hilary cotton argues – my points of query are:
1) on the oaths of obedience don’t those to be ordained or priested swear true and canonical obedience to XXX in all things lawful and honest?
2) and when they do presumably the words “lawful and honest” are interpreted by those saying them in an amazing variety of ways?
