Access to education and school places, in my opinion, should never be made conditional on a person’s faith or lack of it. At least, not when the state is financing the operation. If a church chose to fund and run its own school, then best of luck to them. Otherwise, school places should be available regardless of whether a family is Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Rastafarian, Pagan, Atheist, Agnostic, Transhumanist, Mormon, or whatever. I am very surprised that you haven’t mention the Church Times leading article about the dangers that the referendum poses to society. This is the first time I have seen this expressed so clearly and indeed bravely. It is totally unnecessary and was designed to take pressure off Cameron from his extremists on the right. Manifestly failed in this. Just caused chaos and uncertainty
