The Bishop of Bradwell, the Right Reverend John Wraw, died peacefully in his sleep at home in the early hours of 25 July 2017. The Diocese of Chelmsford has issued this tribute.
I want to offer my respectful thanks for John’s life and express my condolences to all those close to him who knew and loved him far more than me – as I only knew about John recently, when he urged the church to accept LGBT people more whole-heartedly. May God receive him and love him, and may God comfort those who grieve, for a man who clearly had qualities of decency and goodness.
