The Business Committee of the Church of England General Synod has agreed the outline timings for the February 2019 group of sessions.
Synod will meet from 2.30pm on Wednesday February 20 to 4pm on Saturday February 23 at Church House Westminster.
Following the workshops and seminars in York in July, there will be a update on progress with Living in Love and Faith and the plans for completing the project through a presentation as part of the main Synod agenda as well as a collection of fringe meetings.
It is anticipated that the timetable will be published in December.

If ‘The Church’ really is interested in learning about this matter, surely it is very important to involve more than just a select few who are actually involved in the LGBTI+ community and who are actually members and ministers of the Church. Surely the bishops need only ask those colleagues who are gay about their experiences to discover what being gay in the Church is like. If admitting to being a gay Bishop is too risky, that is an experience in itself.
Exactly, Fr.David. NOW is the time for gay Bishops and Clergy to be allowed to give evidence of their own exerience – without fear of being ostacised or victimised. This could create the environment for a Church free from prejudice and hypocrisy – which is the situation necessary to free them from the burden of crippling concealment..
