Hmm, ‘radical new Christian inclusion’ turns out to be something else we are to discuss among ourselves and, presumably, agree to disagree over? I wrote a little about this on https://shared-conversations.com/2021/07/10/handing-on-the-baton/ and noted there that the report rejected in the 2017 ‘Take note’ debate – which set off the LLF process – included these words on this inclusion: ‘it must be based on good, healthy, flourishing relationships, and in a proper 21st century understanding of being human and of being sexual’. Just saying…
I encourage everyone to read the excellent piece by Jeremy Marks.
Brilliant riposte to the Save the Parish “twitterati” by Bishop Robert. Why on earth this group has been set up is a bewilderment to me. We need the parish – and we need alternative creative expressions of church community. We cant have one without the other. And we cant save one without the other. And none of us can be saved unless we are rooted and grounded in Christ and the communities we serve.
