News from the The Scottish Episcopal Church
The Right Rev Kevin Pearson has announced today that he will retire as Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway on 31 August this year.
Bishop Kevin became the 15th Bishop of Glasgow & Galloway in July 2020 upon his translation from the Diocese of Argyll and The Isles…
I wish Bishop Kevin all the best for his retirement. Although I am based in Ireland I have a close affinity with (and abiding love for) the SEC, particularly in Glasgow. Bishop Kevin has served with panache and distinction.
And now…Kelvin for Glasgow!
I knew Kevin when he was a student at Leeds in the 1970s.I have some recollection that when I paid a visit to the University in 1982, about five years after I left it, Kevin was on the chaplaincy staff. Perhaps Kevin himself could correct me if I am wrong there. Much more recently, I recall seeing him in the procession at the consecration of Bishop Gillies at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Aberdeen, in 2007.

Clifford, your comment was originally posted to a different (wrong) thread, and so I moved it across to here. I didn’t quite manage to conceal what I had done…
OK.
