Thank you to whoever wrote ‘What would Barbie do’. Using the surreal (Barbie) to highlight the truth of the absurd (the position of CofE) should not work – but it does, and beautifully! The views attributed to Barbie exactly fit the the expressed views of so many of our young people. It is no wonder we’re seen as misogynist and homophobic when we are required to give an ‘honoured place’ to people who act that way.
